Harrison County is the population and economic center of Mississippi's Gulf Coast. It's home to Biloxi, Gulfport, D'Iberville, and Long Beach — the most urbanized stretch of the Mississippi coastline. Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, the casino industry, the Port of Gulfport, and a robust tourism sector drive an economy that's more diverse and active than most Mississippi counties.
This is not a rural land market. Harrison County is Mississippi's most developed coastal county, with suburban neighborhoods, commercial corridors, and resort-style properties alongside remaining pockets of pine forest and rural acreage in the northern reaches. For land buyers, it offers Gulf Coast living with more infrastructure and economic activity than neighboring counties — but at correspondingly higher prices.
